(S) Singapore Customs officials conducted a "check" of Moog
Singapore PTE Ltd. but found no information suggesting that
the company has conducted any suspect transactions with
Malaysian firm Elite Advanced Solutions (ref A),Melissa Ong,
MFA Desk Officer for the Counter Proliferation and
International Security Branch, told Econoff on December 10.
Ong requested the meeting with Econoff to convey what
Singapore authorities had learned about Moog since post
delivered ref A demarche on November 3 (ref B). Ong could
not elaborate on what a Customs check would entail, but she
said it found that Moog is a registered business that appears
to be compliant with applicable licensing requirements. It
has not exported items to Iran and it has only completed four
transactions with Malaysian companies since 2007. There was
no indication it had sold or plans to sell militarized servo
actuators, but Customs will continue to monitor Moog's
activities, Ong said.
