A/MCC Country Director and A/Econ Counselor delivered reftel points
and FY09 MCC Scorecard on November 3 to Technical Secretary to the
President (Chief of Staff) Eduardo Ayala Grimaldi, Deputy Technical
Secretary Guillermo Funes, FOMILENIO Interim Director Jose Angel
Quiros, and Lucrecia Palacios, Development Indicator Specialist,
Technical Secretariat. A/MCC Director emphasized the need for
continued improvement, especially on the "Rule of Law" indicator and
the "Investing in People" category. Ayala responded that the
Government of El Salvador understood the importance of the
indicators and hoped for a favorable decision from the MCC Board of
Directors December 11.
