(U) Poloff delivered reftel demarche to Sarmite Danne, the MFA's
First Secretary - International Organizations. Danne stated that
they would consider the U.S. goals and priorities, and believed
that, because of several major issues including Georgia, the UNGA
session would not be easy. Danne said that the GOL is committed to
EU priorities and the common position, including (in no particular
order) development goals, climate change, human rights and resolving
the situation in Georgia. Danne acknowledged the importance of
following the Serbia/Kosovo issue carefully.
