1. Per reftel, Embassy Rangoon acknowledges the terms of the
transfer of $20,000 to Post for projects in Burma.
2. Embassy Rangoon contacts for the grant are:
--Financial Officer: Craig Shaw. Mr. Shaw will assist the
P/E section with financial transactions related to this
grant. He will not monitor or oversee the grant projects,
but will work with the P/E section to provide financial
oversight.
--P/E Chief: Leslie Hayden. Ms. Hayden and the P/E staff
will work with the various organizations to monitor and
administer the grant, including periodic meetings with
grantees, attendance at events and activities when possible,
as well as periodic review of financial and programmatic
progress. The P/E section will also be responsible for the
semi-annual reports.
3. Post thanks the DRL and the Department for its continued
support of Embassy programs.
