attendance at the 63rd UN General Assembly appears below.
Post will continue to engage Presidency and MFA contacts to
ascertain final information, providing Department and other
addressees updates as merited.
2. Attendees:
President Demetris Christofias (head of state/government)
-- Departs Cyprus on 21 September, arriving NYC 22 December.
Departs NYC 27 September.
-- President will attend General Debate and deliver formal
address.
-- Spousal travel (Elsie Christofias) unknown as of August 5.
-- Speaks English, no interpretation in
bilateral/multilateral meetings needed.
Foreign Minister Markos Kyprianou
-- Accompanies President Christofias throughout, with same
arrival/departure information.
