(C) Pol-Econ Chief delivered reftel demarche on April 14 to
Humaid al-Ma'ani, Office Director for Ministry of Foreign
Affairs (MFA) Secretary General Sayyid Badr al-Busaidi.
(Note: Relevant information was also sent to the MFA via
diplomatic note. End Note.) Ma'ani provided no substantive
reply, but stated that Oman complied with all UN Security
Council resolutions and would consider the U.S. request for a
de facto travel ban on all individuals designated in the
three resolutions. He also noted that Iranians wishing to
enter Oman were subject to stringent visa requirements.
