1. (S) The new SD command post is 1.5 kilometers from the
Chancery. It is a one-story row house with a two-car garage
and office space. It is being renovated, but the landlord is
installing grillwork, privacy screening, emergency exit, and
substantial doors/locks. The RSO has inspected the property
and approves. The address is 1479 Maldonado Street,
Montevideo, Uruguay. RSO will also install other required
security/safety devices. Only SDU FSN employees will use
this location.
2. (U) The reasons for leasing a new SDU command post are:
old property lease expired; operational security enhanced by
periodically moving this activity command post; new command
post is closer to the Chancery and COMR, improving
response/deployment times.
