(S) EconOff delivered the non-papers contained in reftels on
3/26/08 to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' terrorism finance
area director Miguel Garcia Herraiz and to Ministry of
Finance Adviser Miguel Angel Recio Crespo. Both recipients
committed to sharing the information contained in reftels
with the relevant senior Spanish authorities. Recio noted
that Spanish financial regulatory authorities did have some
information on Bank Saderat transactions in Spain. The
Embassy is seeking to obtain this information and will pass
to Washington agencies upon receipt.
