(C) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) confirmed today
that the Government of Luxembourg (GOL) plans to recognize
Kosovo as rapidly as possible ("in the first wave"). MFA
officials said that this recognition was "quite easy to do"
and that the GOL had already prepared the necessary
documents. The Ministry cancelled some key officer vacations
the week of February 4-8 in case action was needed during the
traditional Carnival holiday period.
