1. (S) On March 9, post received diplomatic note 20080342
from MFA's Follow-Up and Coordination office detailing the
travel plans on March 13 of four Kuwait Security Service
(KSS) officials to Washington and Guantanamo Detention
Facility. The GOK previously informed Post of the names of
the four KSS officials:
--BGEN Abdullah Al-Rashed, head of delegation and General
Director, Public Information Department.
--COL Mahdi Al-Rashidi, Director of the Department for
Combating Extremism.
--LTC Abdulla Al-Kandari, Director, Anti-Terrorism Affairs.
--LTC Khaled Al-Majed, Director of Americas Desk.

Informal embassy translation
Complimentary Greetings
Referring to previous correspondences concerning the subject
of Kuwaiti detainees in Guantanamo and an undertaking of a
security delegation to visit Washington to meet officials who
manage the Guantanamo detainees file in the American Defense
Department.
We wish to report that the security delegation will arrive at
Dulles Airport in the United States on Thursday March 13,
2008 at 2105, Washington, D.C. local time, on British Airways
flight number 293 coming from London's Heathrow. Two members
of the above-mentioned delegation will be selected to visit
the detention center.
The departure of the delegation will be on Friday March 21,
2008 at 1945 from Dulles airport on British Airways flight
number 216 headed for Heathrow Airport in London.
