(C) Poloff delivered reftel demarche on July 15 to Shazryll Zahiran, Principal Assistant Secretary, Nuclear Disarmament and Nonproliferation Division, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Shazryll stated the proposed Non-aligned Movement declaration following the upcoming Foreign Ministers meeting was a "negotiated document" and that not all NAM member-states agreed with its entire content. Shazryll did not indicate Malaysia's own position, but he clarified that Malaysia remains committed to and strongly supports NAM. Shazryll stated he would brief his superiors on our concerns regarding visits to Iranian nuclear sites during the NAM foreign ministers meeting.
