1.(SBU) The Government of Jamaica (GoJ)'s Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and Foreign Trade (MFAFT) has faxed the below GoJ diplomatic
note no. 8/802/141, dated 16th January, 2008, to the Embassy:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade presents its
compliments to the Embassy of the United States of America and has
the honour to inform that, on the invitation of the Congressional
Committee, the Prime Minister of Jamaica, Hon. O. Bruce Golding, MP,
accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Lorna Golding, will be attending the
National Prayer Breakfast scheduled to take place on Thursday, 7th
February 2008 in Washington, D.C.

The Prime Minister and Mrs. Golding are projected to arrive in
Washington, DC on Wednesday, 6th February 2008, and to return to
Jamaica on Sunday 10th February 2008. Further travel details, as
well as information in relation to other members of the delegation,
will be provided shortly.

In the meantime, the Ministry would greatly appreciate the
assistance of the Embassy in ascertaining the possibility of, and
arranging for a meeting between, the Prime minister and the
Secretary of State of the United States of America, preferably

between noon on Thursday, 7th February and the evening of Friday,
8th February.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade avails itself of
this opportunity to renew to the Embassy of the United States of
America the assurances of its highest consideration.
