1. This is an action request - see paragraph 2.


2. In order to comply with Leahy human rights vetting requirements
and reftel, this cable forwards the names of three-hundred sixty
(360) Afghan nationals serving in the Presidential Protective
Service (PPS). These candidates have served successfully in the PPS
for one year and will receive ongoing training and mentorship by the
Diplomatic Security Service. Post possesses no derogatory
information on these individuals. Post requests Department's review
of these candidates by July 15, 2008.
