(C) On July 17, Poloff delivered reftel points to Kamran
Akhtar, Director of Disarmament for the MFA, noting that the
same points were delivered to the Additional Secretary for
Defense Production Major General (retd) Tariq Saleem Malik on
July 9. Poloff noted that it was important for the MFA work
with MOD to coordinate a response to the questions regarding
this possible technology diversion. Akhtar noted that he
would pass the information requests along accordingly and
would coordinate with MOD for a response.
