The GOG plans to support the U.S. candidates for the Postal
Operations Council (POC) and the Council of Administration
(CA) at the Universal Postal Union's 24th Congress in Geneva.
The GOG's decision was stated in a diplomatic note as well
as in a conversation between Poloff and Joaquin Flores
Espana, Director General of Postal Services at the Ministry
of Communications. In stating its decision, the GOG
highlighted the friendship and cooperation that exists
between the United States and Guatemala.
