(U) Ireland will support Pierre-Richard Prosper for the
United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial
Discrimination, according to Irish Department of Foreign
Affairs (DFA) Human Rights Deputy Director Gavan O'Leary, to
whom POLOFF spoke with January 11. The DFA's Human Rights
office has already delivered instructions to the Irish
delegation in New York to this effect, O'Leary added.
