1. (SBU) Upon receiving reports January 4 of civil disturbances in
Conakry, the Emergency Action Committee (EAC) for the Embassy met to
review the current status of the situation in country. The EAC
reviewed the Action Log, confirmed that a Warden Message had been
sent, and determined that the situation had stabilized enough to use
city roads.

2. (SBU) ARSO advised stocking up on food and water over the
weekend. In addition, the RSO staff will be checking the roads
tonight, Saturday, Sunday, and before the workday on Monday.

3. (SBU) The DCM is the Point of Contact for reporting further
developments.
