Assistance and Cooperation Committee of Syria's project
SYR/0/020 as a compromise outcome according to Chris King,
Executive Officer, Arms Control and Counter-Proliferation
Branch of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. King
indicated that they were not thrilled by the action but saw
no legal basis for blocking the approval and did not perceive
much political will by the like-minded countries - except the
U.S. and Australia - to seek an alternate resolution. They
have taken the specific points of reftel for consideration.
