SUBJECT: Kudos to INR officer Andrew Stein
Embassy Buenos Aires would like to express its appreciation for the
excellent support that we receive from INR's Andrew Stein.
Exceptionally proactive in his outreach, Andrew provides a
consistent and timely flow of relevant research, and adds his own
cogent interpretations of regional and Argentine polling data.
Despite his physical distance from Buenos Aires, Andrew has made
himself an invaluable, if virtual, member of the Country Team. In
our efforts to reshape Argentine views of the United States,
Andrew's guidance has been extremely helpful in informing Post's own
analysis, programming, and decision-making. The breadth and depth
of Andrew's expertise in Latin American politics in general, and in
Argentina in particular, as well as his quantitative skills and
extensive, Hemisphere-wide contacts among the academic community,
pollsters, and wonkdom has helped Post put current public opinion
trends in a proper historical and regional context. We very much
appreciate his efforts and look forward to continuing to receive his
insights.
