1. ECOUNS delivered reftel points to Filip De Clerq,
nonproliferation desk officer at the Belgian MFA on May 21.
De Clerq said that the EU would be sending a delegation to
the annual meeting in Madrid in June. However, De Clerq was
not sure that Belgium was ready to contribute to management
of the portal, particularly since Belgium just gained access
to it.
2. MFA will also send experts to the upcoming meeting in
Ottawa but limited staff and resources will force the MFA to
choose which events it will be able to cover in this
framework.
