KOSOVO'S INDEPENDENCE

On February 25, Albert II, King of the Belgians, signed a
Royal Decree recognizing Kosovo,s independence. The decree
represents the completion of Belgium's internal recognition
process. However, before the recognition becomes offical the
Foreign Minister must send a letter to Pristina relaying
Belgium's decision. Embassy will report when this step has
occurred.
