cabinet on Monday, February 11, 2008. Following is his biography.

Heredia is a lifelong fisherman by profession.
4. Political Affiliation:
Heredia is politically affiliated with the UDP. He is a former Mayor
of San Pedro Town (1994-1997). Heredia served as Board Chairman for
the Caribbean Producers Cooperative. He has been President of the
Lions Club in San Pedro, Chairperson of the Fisheries Advisory
Board, and Vice-President of the Belize Fishermen's Cooperative. He
began serving as Belize Rural South Representative in 2003 after
running and losing to PUP representative Patty Arceo in the 1998
elections in the same division.
5. Family:
Heredia has been married for more than twenty-six years and has
three children.
