PERDOMO
1. Carlos T. Perdomo was appointed by Prime Minister Dean Barrow to
cabinet on Monday, February 11, 2008. Following is his biography.

2. Education:
Educated at St. John's College - a Jesuit educational institution in
Belize. In 1979, Perdomo did his thesis/dissertation for his M.A.
at the University of Calgary on "A Survey of teachers and
administrators of selected schools in Belize City on several aspects
of school climate and school tasks." While at the Ministry of
National Security in 1998, Perdomo participated in an International
Visitor's Program on Vocational/Technical Post-Secondary Education.
3. Career/Employment:
Carlos Perdomo is a career educator, public officer, administrator,
former Cabinet Secretary and Permanent Secretary. Perdomo also
served as President of St. John's College Junior College (SJCJC) and
the General Manager of the Centre for Employment Training (CET). In
March 1998, when the U.S. Embassy donated equipment to the Police
Department, U.S. Ambassador Carolyn Curiel made this reference to
Perdomo, who was at that time a Permanent Secretary (CEO) in the UDP
administration (1993-1998): "Under the dynamic leadership of
Permanent Secretary Carlos Perdomo, the Belize Police Force has
proven itself highly effective in pursuing law enforcement
activities."
4. Political Affiliation/Work:
Perdomo is the National Coordinator of the UDP and a senior advisor
to Prime Minister Barrow.
5. Family:
Perdomo is married and is the father of five children.
