1. (C) PolOff on April 2 delivered to MFA reftel points on
travel-related provisions in UN Security Council Resolutions
1803, 1737 and 1747 and sought details about the status of
China's implementation of these provisions. MFA
International Organizations and Conferences Department UN
Division Deputy Director Yao Shaojun said MFA had "as usual"
informed other Chinese ministries of the resolutions. The
Ministry of Public Security is now drawing up specific
procedures to implement the travel restrictions. Yao said no
Iranian designated under any of the three resolutions had
visited China since the resolutions' passage.
