1. (U) On March 3, Acting Deputy Economic Counselor
delivered reftel points to Ralou Papogozolou, Attache of the
Economic Committee for Europe of the MFA and Gerasimos
Floros, Director of the General Directorate for International
Economic Policy of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
Floros said he would discuss the issue with his GoG
colleagues. He expected to have a response within one week.
2. (U) On March 13, Economic Intern spoke with Floros about
the GoG position, which Floros explained is to keep the OECD
status as it is now. Floros explained that Greek policies
must be in line with the EU position. He also noted that
should the EU position change, the GoG would change its
position as well.
