Excellency:

After Your Excellency's historic victory for the Presidency
of the United States of America, it is a great pleasure for
me to write to you, on behalf of the entire Comoran
population as well as on my own behalf, to express our
warmest congratulations.

This resounding victory proves the great deal of trust that
the American people have in you and in your ability to
provide your great nation with the changes needed for more
unity, peace, prosperity and progress.

It is also a source of pride for all Africans since all
African populations see in you not only a role model of
success but also a great hope for a world with better
security, unity and solidarity.

I am convinced that you were elected in such a brilliant way
because of your particularly great human and professional
qualities as well as your unfailing commitment to change
towards a better world; and I remain confident that these
qualities will contribute to further deepening the good
relationships that bond the United States of America with the
African continent, particularly my country, the Union of the
Comoros.

Therefore, I wish to avail myself of this opportunity to
express my willingness as well as that of my government to
provide you with any and all support we can to achieve the
ideals of peace, democracy, solidarity and prosperity that
you advocate and in which we all share.
