1. (U) This is an action request. See para three.
2. (C) Prime Ministry and Presidential foreign policy advisor
Ahmet Davutoglu informed Ambassador October 7 that he will
travel to Washington October 26-29 to participate in a
Brookings conference on the Middle East and expressed his
interest in meetings with relevant USG officials. We
recommend Davutoglu see NSA Hadley, NEA A/S Welch, EUR A/S
Fried, S/I Satterfield, and D/NSA Jim Jeffrey.
3. (C) Post requests EUR/SE work with the Turkish Embassy in
Washington to set up a schedule for Davutoglu incorporating
meetings with those noted in para two, if available, and
others as appropriate.
