(C) Ambassador again raised Kosovo with Foreign Minister
Salaheddin Al-Bashir on February 25. Bashir repeated that
Jordan is inclined positively to recognize Kosovo, but feels
bound to wait until the upcoming OIC summit, after which -
given the likelihood of a lack of consensus - Jordan will be
free to act. In response to a question from Ambassador,
Bashir asserted that Jordan would not feel bound to wait for
a decision by Saudi Arabia.
