1. (C) On January 3, RAO Chief discussed Libyan participation
in the Trans Sahara Counter Terrorism Partnership (TSCTP)
with the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency
Ambassador Tony Imohe per reftel. Ambassador Imohe expressed
his appreciated for the consultation, and said he had no
objections to Libya's involvement, and did not believe the
GON as a whole would have any either. He pledged to confer
further with the Office of the National Security Adviser
(ONSA) and Department of State Security (DSS a.k.a. "SSS"),
and let us know if they had any concerns. Post will continue
to follow up with the appropriate contacts at ONSA and DSS,
some of whom have been out of town for an extended period of
time.
