delivered Ref D talking points on leveraging the FATF statement on
Iran during meetings October 27 and 28 with Foreign Minister Sheikh
Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Ref C),Central Bank Governor Sultan al
Sowaidi and other Abu Dhabi financial leaders (Ref A),and key
finance officials in Dubai (Ref B). Officials expressed their
concern about Iran's activities and said that continued pressure is
having an impact. The Ambassador and Consul General in Dubai also
followed up on the demarche with Minister of State for Cabinet
Affairs (and key Dubai interlocutor) Mohammed Gergawi.
