1. (U) Charge d'Affaires (CDA) a.i. delivered reftel
demarche to Secretary General at the Ministry of Foreign
Relations (MINREX) Martin Mpana during a July 24 meeting.
Mpana recalled that Cameroon had updated the
terrorism-related provisions of domestic law after the
September 11th attacks and said MINREX would review the
material to determine what further steps would be
appopriate. CDA encouraged the Government of Cameroon to
ensure domestic anti-terrorism legislation was robust and
up-to-date with emerging threats.
