We delivered reftel points to Irena Skardzuviene, Head of the
MFA's United Nations and Council of Europe Division, and
Martynas Lukosevecius, Attache in the MFA's Arms Control,
Non-proliferation, and Disarmament Division, on May 21. Both
said that the GOL supports the goals of UNSCR 1267.
Lukosevecius added that the GOL relies on information from
the USG, the UN, and the EU to design its own sanctions
programs. They both expected that the GOL's relevant officer
in New York already plans to be at the May 22 briefing, but
said they would inquire and encourage him to attend.
