1. The Embassy has received a diplomatic note from the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs with an original note in Mongolia. A translation of
the text is provided in paragraph two, and is based on the informal
translation provided by MFA. The Mongolian text of the original and
the English translation have been faxed to L/T's Michelle Cannon, in
accordance with the instruction in reftel. We are pouching the
original of the note to Ms. Cannon under registry number 6169301.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents its compliments to the
Embassy of the United States of America and has the honour to
acknowledge the receipt of the Embassy's note 45/2007 of March 2,
2007 concerning the clarification of the date of entry into force of
the Agreement on Military Exchanges and Visits between the
Government of the United States of America and the Government of
Mongolia, which was signed on June 26, 1996.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reconfirms that the afore stated
Agreement entered into force on April 3, 1998.
The Ministry avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the
Embassy the assurance of its highest consideration.
