(C) Ambassador raised Russian action at meetings with
President Parvanov and Foreign Minister Kalfin on February
22. He stressed our extensive engagement with Russia on this
issue, and encouraged the GoB to support the Czech Republic
and Poland. FM Kalfin suggested the Russian stance was
mostly about domestic politics, which the Ambassador
dismissed -- threats against NATO allies are not acceptable.
