On October 3, Post received a Note Verbale (No. 32-00-609)
from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stating that the GOB
will support Ms. Felice Gaer's candidacy for re-election to
the UN Committee Against Torture at the elections on October
8 in Geneva. The Note Verbale also states that the GOB would
highly appreciate U.S. support for future appropriate
Bulgarian candidates to elected bodies of international
organizations, of which both countries are members.
