REMEMBRANCE RESOLUTION
REF: STATE 99971
1. (SBU) On August 9, Poloff delivered reftel demarche to
Mario Rivera, MFA Director of Multilateral Affairs. Rivera
noted that it had co-sponsored UN Resolution 61/255 and
strongly condemned all forms of Holocaust denial.
2. (SBU) Rivera said that El Salvador would support the
reftel UNESCO resolution and would be willing to co-sponsor
the resolution as well. He indicated that he would send
instructions to that effect to his UNESCO representative.
