1. (U) On March 19, PolOff delivered a copy of a March 18
diplomatic note with reftel non-paper to Talal Berri in the
MFA International Organizations Department. Berri said he
had not yet received the official diplomatic note with the
non-paper. PolOff urged Berri to forward the non-paper to
the Saudi Mission to the UN in New York as well as support
the USG position. Berri said he would follow up after he
receives the original diplomatic note.
