1. (C) PolEconOff delivered reftel non papers on (ref a) NSG
open-ended seminar to discuss UNSCR 1737 and 1747
implementation, (ref b) proposal to share Iran export denial
information, and (ref c) follow up Q and A points to Liga
Rozeniece, Head of International Organizations Division at
the MFA, and Inga Marcinkevica, Head of Export Control of
Strategic Goods Division at the MFA. Marcinkevica responded
that the GOL would like to participate in the open-ended
meeting on national implementation of UNSCRs 1737 and 1747
and looks forward to further specifics (beyond the draft
agenda already provided).
2. (C) Regarding export denials to Iran, she stated the GOL
is willing to share its export denial information and
provided the following information, per ref b guidance:

Government issuing denial: Latvia
Denied item: Compressor SH-2002
