1. (U) Further to reftel A, Post informally received on
February 8 details regarding Morocco's delegation to the
Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism meeting
scheduled in Ankara, Turkey on February 12-13, 2007. Morocco
will send a nine-member group consisting of the following
individuals:
-- Omar HILALE, Secretary General, Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, Head of Delegation
-- Itimad SOUFI, Director of Safety and Security, National
Center for Energy, Science and Nuclear Technology
-- Abdellaziz HAJJANI, Nuclear Safety and Enforcement
Officer, Ministry of Energy and Mines
-- Nouredine MOUJAHID, Ministry of Interior
-- Mohammed MONCIF, Head of Border Health Control Department,
Casablanca Airport
-- Nizar NASR, Customs and Tax Administration
-- Driss Maskani FILALI, Advisor
-- Hicham TOUIL, Directorate-General for National Security
-- Asmae DERKAOUI, First Secretary, Ministry of Foreign
Affairs.
2. (U) Nasser Bourita, Director of United Nations and
International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, informed Embassy that Morocco would be making some
presentations on the principles solicited by the USG, but did
not provide precise details.
