1. (SBU) PolChief met December 3 with MFA Multilateral
Affairs official Kathleen Seenarine presented ref (a) points,
requesting the GOTT vote against, or at least abstain, on
Resolutions 61/22, 61/23, and 61/116. PolChief especially
emphasized the resolution mentioned in ref (b),urging, at a
minimum, an abstention.
2. (SBU) Ms. Seenarine listened attentively to our points,
remarking she was familiar with all the resolutions. She
promised that our concerns would be given close attention.
3. (SBU) Comment: We will remain in close touch with MFA
officials on these resolutions pushing for a definitive
response. Any substantive information will be reported.
