1. (U) Per reftel Post submits a list of women influential and
active in government, civil society, and business in Suriname. Post
hopes these women will be included in future activities organized by
the Office of the Senior Advisor to the Secretary of State for
Women's Empowerment (S/WE). We are providing the names of fifteen
influential women, some of whom are influential principally due to
the positions that they hold; for a variety of reasons, Post feels
that all are deserving. If the department desires a "top five," the
list may be considered roughly rank-ordered.
