1) Per reftel, post delivered dip note to the Protocol
Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Suriname
recommending the implementation of the Hague Convention.
2) Post also delivered demarche to Chantal Elsenhout, Deputy
Head of the International Organizations of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of Suriname on October 24, 2007. Elsenhout
had no immediate response, but said she would forward the
information to the Ministry of Justice and Police and the
Ministry of Social Affairs and Housing.
3) Post will report any substantive reaction from the
Government of Suriname.
