1. Per reftel, post delivered demarche to Government of
Suriname (GOS) Ministry of Foreign Affairs Deputy Head of the
Americas Division Eurydice Hofwijks on July 31, and to
Nalinie Sepersadsingh, Head of the International
Organizations Division, on August 1. Sewpersadsingh said the
Government of Suriname does not have a position yet on
whether to ratify and/or sign the International Convention
for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism, but said
she would look into it. Hofwijks referred post to
Sewpersadsingh.
2) Post will inform the Department of any response from the
GOS.
