Correction in parragraph 1 - child abandonment charges were
found to be unsubstantiated, not/not substantiated as reported
in reftel.
1. Monday, February 12, 2007, Arizona Child Protective Services
(CPS) Investigator Lindsey Adams Post informed Post that an
investigation has been completed and child abandonment charges
are unsubstantiated against Migdalia Jimenez.
2. Tuesday, Februrary 13, Ms. Adams told ConOff that she has
spoken with Mexican District Attorney Eduardo Chavez. Ms Adams
is coordinating with Mr. Chavez's office, Desarrollo de la
Familia Integral (DIF),to repatriate the children into CPS
temporary custody on Wednesday, February 14 at the Nogales Port
of Entry.
3. Post has requested a written copy of CPS decision and a copy
of CPS Notice of Removal to include in the case file. Post will
send a Consular Officer to the Port of Entry to assist DIF with
the repatriation.
