1. (C) On February 23, Embassy transmitted Reftel points on
Bosnia's UNHRC candidacy to MFA Multilateral Affairs Attache
Demitra Chrystodoulou, and followed up several times
afterward. Chrystodoulou responded March 6, noting that
Bosnia had not yet officially requested Cyprus's support for
its candidacy. She committed to inform Post when/if Cyprus
received the formal demarche or other pertinent information.
Cyprus likely would wait until closer to the late-April vote
to review all of the Eastern Europe Group (EEG) candidates,
she surmised.
