7. This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice
for this project that appeared in Development Business, of June 16,
1999 and updated on November 21, 2001, March 26, 2003 and April 30,

2006.

The Government of Mozambique has received a credit from the
International Development Association toward the cost of Second
National Water Development Project- NWDP-II, and it intends to apply
part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract
for Supply and Installation of two transformers at Maputo AdM Water
Treatment Works at Umbeluzi Intake, Maputo. The Fundo de
Investimento e Patrimonio do Abastecimento de Agua (FIPAG) now
invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Supply and
Installation of two Transformers at Maputo AdM Water Treatment Works
at Umbeluzi Intake, Maputo.


8. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive
Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines:
Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all
bidders from eligible Source Countries as defines in the Guidelines.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from
Fundo de Investimento e Patrimonio do Abastecimento de Agua (FIPAG)
and inspect the bidding documents at the address given on Item 6B
from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (Local time). Qualifications requirements
includes: report of financial standing of the bidder, list of
similar supply in the past two years with cost of any supply and
other points mentioned in the bid document. Additional details are
provided in the Bidding Documents. A complete set of Bidding
Documents in English can be purchased by interested bidders on the
submission of a written application to the above address and upon
payment of a non-refundable fee of Mtn 1,250.00 or USD 50.00. The
method of payment in will be cash. The Bidding Documents will be
sent by courier at the cost of the bidder.


9. Bids must be delivered to FIPAG address at or before 2:30 pm on
May 14, 2007. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids
will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the
bidder's representatives who choose to attend in person or on-line
at FIPAG address at 2:30 (local time) on May 14, 2007. All bids
must be accompanied by a bid security of Mtn 95,000.00 or an
equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. The bid
security should be valid until September 9, 2007.
