Emboff spoke with the Director for Africa and the Middle East
at Mozambique's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on January 30 and
delivered the demarche in reftel. The Director said that the
Mozambican government supported the AU Charter draft "in
general terms," but added that he was not privy to ongoing
discussions on the Charter in Addis. However he indicated he
thought Mozambique would vote in favor of the draft.
