On July 27, poloff delivered reftel demarche to Kodjo Menan,
Secretary General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Menan

said that President Faure Gnassingbe and Minister of Foreign
Affairs Zarifou Ayeva were planning to attend. He said that
no decision has yet been made regarding the attendance of
additional government officials or spouses. In a separate
meeting on July 25, however, Minister of Cooperation Gilbert
Bawara mentioned to DCM and Poloff that the President's
attendance at UNGA would depend on the new legislative
election date, which has not yet been determined. Menan said
he will provide us with all the requested information as
soon as the composition of the Togolese delegation has been
finalized.
