1. On October 26, PolOff met with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
and Foreign Trade's Director of Multilateral Affairs, Pamela
Ingelton, to deliver reftel demarche.
2. Ms. Ingleton was receptive to the U.S. position that Jamaica
should join the Hague Abduction Convention, and promised to bring up
the issue to the appropriate people in the Ministry. Post will
report any further responses.
