1. Per reftel instructions, talking points on proposed
Biofuels Assistance were delivered to St. Kitts and Nevis'
MFA Permanent Secretary Theresa Nisbett via fax and telephone
conversation on March 29, 2007. Brazilian Ambassador Orlando
Galveas Oliveira joined Ambassador Ourisman in delivering the
joint demarche to St. Kitts via conference call.
2. On March 30, the MFA PermSec conveyed to post Foreign
Minister Timothy Harris' response that the Government of St.
Kitts has "no objection to participation in a cooperative
project with Brazil and the United States regarding
biofuels." FM Harris briefed Prime Minister Denzil Douglas
and both look forward to discussing particulars of the
Brazilian-U.S. initiative.
